1. Agree on the date of the visit.
The first meeting with a lawyer should be scheduled in sufficient advance. Describe shortly what your case concerns and what kind of assistance you expect from us. Complex legal services for the company? Legal counselling regarding a particular activity? Representation in a lawsuit?

2. Collect information and documents
In order to provide you with assistance effectively we have to first determine facts of a case. Irrespectively of the type of our cooperation, try to collect all information and documents related to the case. On the grounds thereof we will stipulate the scope of activities.
In case of disputes, these will certainly be dates and descriptions of factual circumstances crucial for the case, the current case of affairs, agreements, certificates, printouts of correspondence, telephone billings, photographs etc. If you are not currently at a disposal of some crucial document – enter it into a list. At this stage it is also worth thinking about a list of possible witnesses, who will be able to be summoned in case of a lawsuit.
If you would like to entrust us with servicing your company, we will need not only basic information, such as the form of conducted activity, the main object of trade, the level of employment or the range of operations (national, international). In some case we might also need the information on generated turnover, capital relations or a list of contractors.
Please remember that it is better to collect more information as soon as the cooperation starts, than less. For a lawyer each, even small detail has a meaning. Thus, if you are wondering, if you should attach a given document to the file then, just to be save, do so.
3. Determine your position
What is your objective? How much time, energy and costs are you ready to invest to achieve it? What compromise can you agree to?
4. Prepare a list of questions
A meeting with a lawyer predominantly consists in a conversation. We will willingly listen to your questions and doubts. We know from experience that in the heat of discussion various issues can be omitted. Therefore, we advise you to write down all questions you already have in mind with regard to the case both, the ones concerning the subject matter and organisation. You can also send them via email before the meeting – this constitutes an additional guarantee that we will touch on all issues you would like to discuss.
5. Be honest
